Remarks:
The PS/2 model P75 is a 486-33mhz Microchannel machine in a portable form factor. It was marketed as a type of portable server. The computer came standard with 8meg expandable up to 16meg. 4 slots are available for expansion and a XGA-1 video card runs the 10 inch orange gas plasma display at 640x480x16 colours. Higher video capabilities can be used on an external display. The built-in display will shut off when an external one is hooked up. The P75 also features a built in SCSI controller that runs a 160meg hard drive. A 400meg drive was also optional for this computer. While the P75 is portable, it has no power management features built in and only runs on AC power. On the back of the computer behind an access door is one parallel, one serial, SCSI and mouse connectors. Also present is a proprietary connection that allowed an external floppy drive to be plugged in. Due to the extreme power and integration of this computer, it was one of IBM's most expensive computers at the time. When the IBM PS/2 Model P75 was announced in 12nov90, the price for this model was $9,035.

This particular P75 is still in its stock configuration and has a 3com ethernet NIC and runs windows95.
