The PS/2 model P70 is a 386dx-20mhz Microchannel machine in a portable form factor. The computer came standard with 4meg expandable up to 8meg on the planar. Maximum memory can goto 16meg with a memory expansion card. 2 slots (one full and one half-length) are available for expansion and a 8-bit VGA video card runs the 10 inch orange gas plasma display at 640x480x16 colours. The built-in display can still function when an external one is hooked up. The P70 also features a built in MCA IDE controller that runs a 120meg hard drive. While the P75 is portable, it has no power management features built in and only runs on AC power. On the back of the computer behind an access door is one parallel, one serial, SCSI and mouse connectors. Also present is a proprietary connection that allowed an external floppy drive to be plugged in. When the IBM PS/2 Model P70 was announced in 09may89, the price for this model was $4,995

This particular P70 is still in its stock configuration with 8 meg installed and runs OS/2 version 3.
