Manufacturer: IBM
Machine Type: PS/2 3511 SCSI Enclosure
Model Number: 3511-003
Serial Number: 23-0004130
Current Status: Complete, and in use.
Acquired: Feb 2000
Remarks:
The 3511 Enclosure is a 7bay SCSI enclosure in a full tower form factor. It's very similar in basic design to the PS/2 server 95 since they both use the same case and power supply. The 3511 has 2 full height bays which have rails so two half height devices can be stacked and 3 half height bays so a total of 7 devices can be physically installed. The 3511 pictured above has an Exabyte 8200 2.3G 8mm drive rebadged as an IBM drive, 2 400meg and 3 320meg hard drives which all function perfectly. Any PS/2 using an IBM SCSI card with the same external connector can use this enclosure.
