Remarks:
The 3270 PC is an ordinary IBM PC XT with 640k and a 10meg hard drive but with additional adaptor cards that lets the computer attach to a mainframe computer such as a 4341 or 4381, allowing the computer to emulate a 327x mainframe console. The adaptor cards were required in order to utilize a mainframe console's extra keys and video modes as well as providing an SNA connection to the mainframe's controller. This 3270PC is complete and functions perfectly although the emulation software is missing. The monitor is an IBM 5272 color display and the keyboard is the same type used on IBM mainframe consoles. It utilizes a special adaptor card that in turns plugs into the standard keyboard connection. In its current configuration, the computer has only 1 ISA slot open! According to the manufacturing label on the back of the CRT, the build date was in 1984.
